About The Event
Sound Bath and Tea Ceremony
On a beautifully clouded Sunday afternoon mid-April, we hosted a Sound Bath and Tea Ceremony. This free event had participants representing people from 5 different cultural backgrounds, all there for the sole purpose to pause and allow their bodies and being to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with their inner selves. After the soothing sound bath we ended with a mindful tea ceremony and sharing a variety of foods from different regions. It was an afternoon that left those that attended feeling revitalized and reflecting on how self-care can contribute to caring for others. We’re grateful to be a part of this initiative with BOKSS and hope to continue to help our ethnically diverse populations in Hong Kong thrive.
Highlights That Made This Event Unforgettable
01
Cultivating Inclusive Wellness
In collaboration with Baptist Oi Kwan Social Services, this event prioritized accessibility for ethnically diverse and underserved populations. By removing barriers to care, we created a welcoming space where individuals from various backgrounds could prioritize their mental and physical well-being.
02
A Multicultural Sanctuary
The event brought together a vibrant tapestry of participants from five different cultural backgrounds. This diversity enriched the experience, proving that the need for stillness and inner peace is a universal human language that transcends borders and builds community bonds.
03
Sensory Restoration
Through the combination of a soothing sound bath and a mindful tea ceremony, participants engaged in a full-sensory reset. These practices allowed guests to move out of "survival mode" and into a state of deep relaxation, quieting the mind and harmonizing the body’s energy.
04
Community Through Connection
The afternoon concluded with the sharing of traditional foods from different regions, turning a wellness session into a celebration of heritage. This highlight emphasized that self-care is not just an individual journey, but a foundation for caring for and nourishing one another.

Bridging the Wellness Gap
We understand how important it is for our communities to thrive. Some of our sisters and brothers from ethnically diverse populations may not have the same access to care and wellness services as others do. We see this and have partnered with Baptist Oi Kwan Social Services to host events targeting those underserved.
